Do you use Digital Certificates ?
Ostiary creates its own digital certificates for each user to ensure that only they can access their own data .
Where is the data stored?
Your data is hosted in a secure data center in the US on a dedicated server
Is the data encrypted on the server?
All users data is in encrypted on the Ostiary server
How secure is the communication channel between the Ostiary Client and the Ostiary servers ?
Ostiary uses SSL over HTTP communications. This ensures that data transferred over public networks is secure.
If I secure a LARGE file or blog will it lock my system during the transfer ?
Ostiary client runs data transfers in the background so leaves the client operational during this process for other work.
Is my data backed up on a regular basis?
Customer data is backed up every night
Can we install Ostiary on our own servers?
At this stage Ostiary is offered as a HOSTED service. We have considered an in-house server based solution and are waiting to see if there is sufficient demand before we release such a version.
Can you customize Ostiary for us?
At this stage we don’t “customize” Ostiary for individual customers.
