Ostiary in Projects
With software and engineering projects we share a lot of documents :
- project plans
- business requirements documents
- technical specifications
- status reports
- meeting agendas
- tracking sheets
- task lists, etc.
The big issues with project documents are
- Making sure people review and comment on the CURRENT version
- Not having the teams comments in a central area
- Not knowing who has or has not completed their reviews
Most document exchange is done via email or via some Document management system so version control and real time comments are next to impossible or difficulat to maintain
Ostiary solves this problem the following way
- An Author can “close off” an OLDER Version disabling access
- Centralizes the teams comments and discussions
- Provides team comments as they are made in real time and around the document
